- סְרוּנְכִּיf. (סרך II, with נ inserted) (interception, sticking, choking, suffocation. Yoma 84a מקיזין דם לס׳ בשבת you may let blood on the Sabbath in a case of asphyxia. Snh.37b; Keth.30b; Sot.8b; Num. R. s. 14 מת בס׳ will die from suffocation.Cmp. סרנק.
